But I wonder if it's just some legal nonsense in case somebody sets their fans to 0 and fries the pc.

It says not to use if the BIOS already has an option for fan control (which Asus does). But I get a scary warning/disclaimer before entering the fan control settings. It's got much better options than my motherboard (Asus Maximus Hero XI). I want to try using Argus Monitor for controlling my case/cpu fans.
